When Irish and the baby were released from the hospital, Lynn was the one who took them home. Justin's heart was breaking
as he knew he couldn't take them to his home and start their family together. But he understood. They could have easily lost
Shani. Justin silently thanked God when they found out that the baby was acutally healthy and a good weight for being early.
The doctors were pleased that Irish took excellent care of herself.
He drove over to Irish's apartment once
they were safely there. He parked his car and got out, feeling so nervous. He walked up to the apartment and gave two knocks
on the door. Lynn opened the door and pulled him into a big hug. Justin closed the door with his foot as he quietly cried
while holding his mother.
I'm holding back a flood of tears Just thinking 'bout those happy years Like all
the good times that are no more My love is gone...gone...gone forever more Silence so deep only my soul can hear Says
now the past is what I fear The future isn't what it used to be Only today is all that's promised me
They
pulled away as they both wiped their tears and walked into Irish's bedroom. He stood at the treshold to take in the full view
of his heart holding his soul as they lay in the bed before him. Justin cleared his throat as Irish looked up at him. Her
eyes began to give off a smokey color as her lips spreaded a smile that tugged at his heart strings.
Flow on,
river of time Wash away the pain and heal my mind Flow on, river of time Carry me away And leave it all far behind Flow
on river of time
"Justin, your daughter needs you." She smiled. Justin took slow steps to the bed, before making
it to the side. He sat down as Irish gave him Shani. He held his daughter again as he watched her small hazel eyes take him
in. He notice that the little bit of hair she had was showing a honey-brown color. Her hands flexing back and forth before
reaching to grab one his fingers.
We're all driven by the winds of change Seems like nothing ever stays the
same It's fate that guides me around the bend Life's forever beginning, beginning again
That moment sent
more tears from his eyes. Justin bent down to kiss her forehead then turning to Irish and kissing her on the lips. She pulled
back as she caressed his cheek. Justin got in bed with them completely as they lay there being a family, even for only a moment.
The newly parents closed their eyes as they leaned on one another while holding their newborn. A Flash opened their eyes as
they looked to see Lynn shedding some tears of her own. "Lynn." Irish called to her as she and Justin moved over, so
Lynn could get in next to Justin. They all just sat there and watched Shani look at each of them. Justin took a deep breath
as he realized that the most important females in his life were all in the room with him. He cleared his throat as he began
to speak.
Flow on, river of time Wash away the pain and heal my mind Flow on, river of time Carry me away And
leave it all far behind
"Irish, how are we going to handle this?" He looked at her, his eyes red. Irish took his
hand as she sighed. "I don't know yet. But whatever happens, know I do love you. And Shani and you will have a relationship."
Justin nodded as he gnawed on his bottom lip. He handed the baby to his mom as he got up and grabbed her digtal camera.
Flow
on river of time Carry me away and heal my mind Flow on, river of time Carry me away and heal my mind
"Okay.
I want a picture of my favorite girls!" He forced enthusiam trying to mask the pain."Get closer and turn Chantal around."
He directed as he looked at the screen on the back of the camera and adjusted the focus. "Okay, say 'cheese' or something."
Irish and Lynn smiled at each other as they looked back both holding the baby,so she could face the camera. "We love you!"
They yelled as he took the picture.
Flow on, river of time Flow on Carry me away and heal my mind
Justin
took one more before looking at them as he nodded. "I love you three, too." He sighed and frowned as he turned around to put
the camera on the stand. "I love you, too." He whispered.
Flow on river of time Flow on Flow on river of
time
