Lynn took Irish to the Shangri-La Spa and Retreat center for a day of relaxation and rest. They received full body massages
and a sauna treatment, before heading to a mud bath to soak and talk.
Lynn noticed they were alone and finally decided
the time to talk was now or never. She cleared her throat as her head was leaned back. "Irish, I hope you don't find me too
forward, but are you and Justin going to get married now Shani's here?"
Irish opened her eyes as she look to her daughter's
grandmother, while biting her lip. "No, Lynn. I can't. Shani wasn't supposed to be here yet. If it wasn't for those stupid
cameramen wanting a picture of the woman who got pregnant by the one and only Justin Timberlake. We could have been seriously
hurt and those fools would have been taking pictures of that. I heard what happened to Princess Diana." Irish stated as she
felt her anger release steam off of her body, making the hot mud even hotter.
Lynn nodded in agreement as she
understood completely. "I worry about Justin like that. I worry that they would be the reason he ended up in an accident.
And Justin drives so damn fast..." She trailed off as tears clouded her vision.
Irish moved closer as she consoled
Lynn. Lynn shook her head, but accepted the hug. Wiping the tears, she sniffed and looked at Irish. "He loves you so much.
Even before Shani. He made a deep confession to me. When things are hectic again, like before the accident, he silently wishes
to himself that he never got his memory back and was still able to love you and be with you back in the cabin."
Irish
turned away as she tried to find the right words to say. "Lynn, I kept telling him that he belongs he in this world with you,
his career, everything he knows. He doesn’t belong in my world. And I don't belong in his. Now, I won't take away Shani.
I see they need each other. But I can't stay."
Lynn took a breath as she place a muddy hand on Irish's shoulder. "But
don't you realize that he would give it up in a heartbeat for you. That is some serious love, Irish."
"I know he would.
But I wouldn't want him to. I see that there is so much more he needs to do before I or any other woman can truly and fully
have his heart." Irish spoke with raw emotion in her throat.
"So what are you going to do? When are you leaving?" Lynn
sighed and asked.
"I'm not going to put you in the middle and have Justin question you for information." Irish looked
at Lynn, before standing up.
"I'm already in the middle. You are my son's heart. Plus, you just gave birth to first-born
grandchild. And I love you like a daughter. These months along with saving my son, how can I not be in the middle.”
Lynn stood up.
Irish straightened her swimsuit as they both got and were sent to the shower to rinse off.
After
the shower they were put into fresh swimsuits and terry cloth robes, before they were sent off to eat lunch.
"Lynn,
I was wondering about Shani's baptism.” Irish changed the subject as they began to eat. Lynn looked up as she watched
Irish focus on her meal. She let Irish change the subject for now. Lynn decided to get to the bottom of the drama before the
day was through.
“What about it?” Lynn smiled. “I was wondering if I could suggest to Justin people
from his family.” Irish shrugged her shoulders as she looked into Lynn’s eyes. “I don’t have any family
left alive, except Shani. And I was wondering if JC could be Shani’s Godfather and you could pull double duty and be
her Grandmother and Godmother?”
Tears brimmed at Lynn’s eyes as she quickly nodded before reaching over
to hug her. Irish smiled as she hugged Lynn back. “I would be honored to. And I’m sure Justin will find this all
wonderful.” She beamed.
“Okay, then I will get with Justin and we’ll decide on a date. I also have
to get with him to discuss splitting time with Shani. I need to make a schedule.” Irish mumbled to herself.
Lynn
finished eating as she caught on what she said. “You know there is an easy way of solving that problem.” “Really?
What?” Irish leaned in for advice. “Move in with Justin.” Lynn simply stated.
“Lynn, I need
to stay in my place and on my own. I am going to get this all down as soon as possible. That way Justin can go back to his
life and I can go back to mind. The only change is that our baby is here. “ She pushed away her plate and sat back deep
in thought.
“Lynn signaled for the check as she sighed. “Do you still love my son?”
Irish
quickly glanced up as her face went sad. “Yes. I just don’t belong with him. Maybe, when I’m old and gray
I can have another chance with him.”
“He wants that chance now. But, he can’t make you stay. Justin
is the type of person who would love you and let you go, than have you by side not wanting to be there.” Lynn reminded
her as the check was paid and they went back to change and go home.
Justin was showing his brand new daughter off
to the guys when his cell phone rang. He watched Chris, Lance, Joey, and JC gush over Shani as he answered it on the second
ring. “Hello? Hey Ma. Yeah. Really? You don’t say. What? That’s too soon! She’s at her apartment?
Okay. I’m on my way. Thanks Ma. Have a safe drive home. I love you. Bye”
JC stepped up to Justin with Shani
in his arms. “What happened?” Justin ran a hand over his face as he exhaled deeply. “She’s totally
given up and there is no way back. She’s planning a document to equally split time with Shani. In fact, she’s
letting me have free and total control of visitation. She’ll have Shani when I’m really busy or have to go out
on business.”
“Damn, I didn’t believe it before but it’s true.” Chris stated out loud.
Justin and JC turned to face him as they realize that their conversation was overheard. “What’s true, Chris?”
JC asked.
“That Irish is so deep in love with Justin, that she’s letting him have everything he wants and
whatever he needs but one thing- her.” They all looked at Justin as he got his daughter fastened safely and secure in
her car seat as he carried her out to his truck and drove to Irish.
