Justin sat at his desk typing on his laptop as he tried to forget the shell that Irish locked herself in. He finally
got to take her home once she and baby were fine. But all she did was stay in bed. He got worried about the baby again,
as he brought her food to eat that first night back. Irish made sure that the baby was well taken care of, it's just she didn't
want to take care of her feelings.
Irish just wanted to forget the entire thing with John. She had known that he was
filled with fault but to hurt her, she was still trying to wrap her head around it. The bruises faded while the memory remained.
She constantly rubbed her stomach as she new she had to get out. It didn't matter where she went. She needed to be alone.
Irish got up and showered as she heard Justin's stereo come on playing some sad ballad. Irish dried off and got dressed as
she pulled her hair up in a bun.
She grabbed her keys and headed down stairs. Justin looked up fro the screen as he
heard movement on the stairs. He noticed Irish was finally out of the bed. He smiled as he got up and went to her. But his
smile faded as he noticed the keys in her hands.
"Where are you going?" He took off his reading glasses as she
walked passed him. "I need to get out of town." She stopped at the last step as she realized that she didn't have her car.
"Can you take me home so I can pack?"
Justin's face filled with confusion, as he couldn't believe her at that moment.
"You're kidding, right? Irish, you are another three months from having Shani and you want to leave for parts unknown."
Irish
nodded as she walked to the door and went outside. Justin followed her as he saw she was determined. He slowly turned her
around to face him, as she looked drained. "Why won't you let me in?" He simply stated.
Irish looked at the sadness
in his face as she touched his cheek. "Why won't you let me go?"
"Cause, I love you. Cause you not only saved me, but
my soul and mended my broken heart even though I couldn't remember it. And during that time we actually, with the help of
God, created that beautiful little girl inside of you." He whispered as he rubbed her stomach.
"Well, John made me
see that I need to get away again and think things through. Re-evaluate my life and everything in it."
Justin looked
down and played with his keys. "Does that include me, also?"
Irish slowly nodded as she turned away. Justin inhaled
and exhaled deeply as he walked up behind her and wrapped his arms around her always-expanding waist. He sniffed her hair
as he kisses her temple. "Just come back to me. Don't go away too long." He gave in and whispered to her.
Irish just
looked at him and blinked as he sighed and let her go to open the door and help her in. Justin got in and as he started
the truck and drove to her apartment. The drive was a quiet one as Irish sat there and stared out the window, her mind a million
miles away. She noticed she was home when the truck stopped. Irish unbuckled her seatbelt as she turned to Justin. "Don't."
She stated as she saw that he was about to unbuckle his seatbelt.
Justin opened his mouth to protest but Irish had
already walked away. Starting the engine back, he drove until he reached the beach and parked there. Justin sat in his truck
and stared at the waves crashing into the sand until tears crashed onto his cheeks. He closed his eyes as he wished that he
could have stayed Justin with no memory and still up at the cabin, still stuck in the snow and time standing still.
Irish
took her laptop with her as she decided to do some work while she was away. Once again, her employees handled the store great
and she smiled, as that was the only thing she didn't have to worry about. She left where she could be reached with her staff,
if they needed her for anything. Plus she had her cell.
She arrived at her destination days later. She loved how it
looked during the spring and summer time up here. It was so beautiful. She unlocked the door and turned the lights on as she
began to unpack her things and get ready for serious solitude.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It
had been a few weeks since Irish went away and no one who knew really where she was, was talking. Justin couldn't concentrate
on work. He tried to go in the studio and work on his up coming album. But his heart wasn't in it. Justin groaned as he got
up and walked out of the studio and locked it up. He wasn’t going to be able to concentrate on anything until she came
back. He drove to his Mom's house and hope she could take his mind off of Irish.
Lynn arrived at the door, as there
was a fourth knock. She opened it and saw her son standing there with pain on his face. She let him in and got ready a hot
meal for him as she tried to comfort her only son.
Justin was in the middle of eating as his mom and step-dad ate also
while talking about their day. "Lynn, Irish wanted you to call her as soon as you can." Paul mentioned between bites. Justin's
head went up fast as he looked at his step-dad. "Paul, you and Mom know where Irish is?"
Paul looked to his wife
as she sighed. "Justin she called us to tell her that she was okay and wanted us to tell you that she didn't want you to worry."
Justin
stood up as he suddenly lost his appetite. "Just tell me where she is, Mom."
Justin hurried and packed some
clothes as he took the first private plane out. He arrived at the airport eight hours later. As he went to rent a 4x4 jeep,
his mind was flooded with memories of leaving here.
(flashback) ~Justin, you know what that means.....you're going
to have to let her go...let her go..let her go....~
Justin shook his head to erase that memory. He wasn't going to
let that come true. It was bad enough that he almost lost her once, but to lose her again, his heart just couldn't take it.
He
drove carefully up the same path that accidentally led him to loose his memory and bring a beautiful ,selfless woman into
his heart. That day came back to him. He was meeting his family and friends at the lodge. Even though it had been a while
,he was still feeling raw from the pain Britney filled inside of him. It ate at him like a cancer. His mind was flooded with
the arguments they had as he had drove over a patch of black ice and then everything went blank.
Justin came out of
the memory of that day and noticed that he had arrived safely at the cabin. He grabbed his bag and knocked at the door. He
looked around and saw how beautiful it was without all the snow. Justin turned back to the door as he heard a click.
Irish
opened the door and gave a look of surprise as she met Justin's stare. His blue eyes twinkled as he saw how her belly grew
more in the few weeks she had been gone and the sun seemed to have added red streaks to her long hair. She glowed with the
help of the sun shining across her face.
"Justin? Lynn said I should expect you. But I didn't think you would actually
show." She said as she held onto the door. "Why not? I am not going to let you give up on us, because of John or anyone
else." He softly told her as she opened the door to let him in.
Justin stepped through the threshold as he closed his
eyes. He actually felt like he was stepping back in time. The happy memories he had when he didn't know who he was, were everywhere
in this huge home. Love was all in the air. Justin inhaled deeply as he realized it never left. Even after they both did.
A
few hours later, Justin was settled in and called his mom to tell her that he was okay and that Irish was well. He sat and
watched her work on her laptop as he sat there and remembered he had a gift for her.
He grabbed his bag and went into
the den as he put in the cd and came back to where Irish sat in the living room. "Irish I need to talk to you. It's very important."
Irish
didn't look up as she continued to type and send off work to the store. "What is it Justin?"
"I need to talk to you
in the den. There was something you need witness."
Irish continued to type until Justin pulled her from the seat and
lead her to the den. Irish ran her hands through her hair as she waited for what he had to say. "So, what do I need to witness?"
Justin
pressed play as the music began to play. "I want you to witness what I have been feeling since John , the hospital and you
pulling your self inside of that shell you're still in." He walked up to her as he rubbed her shoulders and arms and began
to sing.
I'll give you love The things you want I would do anything for you I would do anything for you I
would do anything, girl, anything for you Sitting at home another lonely night Wish you were here so I could hold you
tight
Justin ran his hands through her hair as he held her attention for the first time in what seemed forever.
Pain
in my heart Because I'm all alone Why did you leave Why did your love have to go When I would do anything for
you, I would Thinking of ways That I can win your heart But, I'm so confused I don't know where to start
Irish
looked down as she heard the pain and truth in the words he sung to her. Justin made her look back at him as he pulled her
body closer. He felt the baby move as he moved his body with hers.
Visions of love Forever in my mind I
wait for the day when I can say that girl's mine 'Cause I would do anything for you, yes I would I'll give you love The
things you want Baby, there's nothing in this world I wouldn't do I would do anything for you I would do anything
for you I would do anything, girl, anything for you
Irish began to cry as Justin held his face against hers. He
made sure his cheeks caught each tear until they became his own. He couldn't just let her decide that they shouldn't love
each other and just raise a baby they created from love as friends. He had to show her that she could depend on his love and
that it would see them through.
So what can I do to prove I need your love What will it take Because
I won't give up Open your heart and let your feelings show 'Cause deep down inside my heart just won't let you go Girl,
I would do anything for you, yes I would I'll give you love The things you want Baby, there's nothing in this world
I wouldn't do I would do anything for you I would do anything for you I would do anything, girl, anything for you
Justin
continues to belt out the song as she felt the vibration of his words against her skin. Irish leaned her head against his
shoulder as they swayed to the soft music and Justin's voice buzzing in her ear, giving her head something to think about.
I
would do anything for you I said I would do, babe I would do anything, girl, anything for you Anything, girl, anything
for you I'll give you love I'll give you love Oh, my The things you want I love you, girl, I swear I'll give
you love baby
Justin walked her to the couch and sat her on his lap as he nuzzled her ear. Irish smiled as his whisper
tickled her lobe. "Irish listen real careful to this part. I need you to know why I won't let you go. You know there is an
old Chinese proverb. When you save a life. It becomes yours. When you saved my life Irish Diana Elliot, I became yours. I
belong to you." He cupped her chin as he rubbed his nose with hers. They both pulled back as he kept his gaze locked on
hers and finished singing the song.
And when you need my love My girl, I'll give you love I'll always give
you love I swear I'll give it, baby I would do anything for you I swear I would do, babe I would do anything for
you Anything you want, baby I would do anything, girl, anything for you (-3T - Anything)
Once
the song was over, Irish was about to speak when Justin felt he needed to say more and plead his case. "I also need to let
you know that the moment I drove here I remember that day I was headed to the lodge. I was full of pain and didn't think I
could heal my heart. I wished that for one moment in time I could forget how I felt and who I was. When I hit that patch of
black ice and ...." His voice trailed off as he sighed. He continued on as she patiently listened. " I lost who I was.
I could have died. But you saved me when no one knew I was hurt. But you also saved my heart and made me love again. And for
you being the woman you are, I will never let you go away and not be able to feel what you gave me."
Irish leaned in
and kissed him. Their lips enjoyed each tender touch. It was a long time coming. He pulled back from her as Shani kicked him.
They both looked down and laughed as they figured the baby wanted in too. "I'm sorry sweetie. Daddy loves you too." He leaned
his head down to Irish's stomach and spoke. "You know that. But if you want, I'll give you a kiss too." Justin gave raised
up Irish's shirt and planted a kiss where he felt movement.
He sat back up and as Irish finally spoke. "So, now that
you have my undivided attention ,what do you want to do?"
Justin smiled as an idea popped in his head. "Let me be your
spa."
